Emergency Cadet Detachment

We were delighted that many pupils showed an interest in joining our Emergency Cadet detachment. The Police completed a selection and information process in the Academy and the first lucky 15 cadets were selected and participated in a launch of Northamptonshire Emergency Services Cadets on 26 April when the Mayor of Corby, Councillor Julie Riley, was in attendance.  This is the first combined services detachment to be launched in Corby.

Northamptonshire Emergency Services Cadets : Our mission is to provide an emergency services cadet scheme for young people aged 13-18 years old, encompassing all three emergency services; Fire, Police and Ambulance. Northamptonshire Emergency Services Cadet Scheme, a charitable organisation, will be sustainable and will provide cadets with opportunities to make a positive contribution to their communities

Values:

·         Cadets will act with honesty and integrity and work co-operatively as a team, treating others with fairness, respect, compassion and dignity, always challenging prejudice and discrimination.

·         Cadets will be courteous at all times, building trust and confidence and making every effort to understand and meet the needs of others.

·         Cadets will strive for excellence, taking responsibility for their own personal development, consulting with others, being open minded and learning from others.
