PE Multi Skills Event

The 1st annual Kingswood Secondary Academy Key Stage 1 and 2 Multi Skills event took place on Wednesday 18th June 2014. It was a really fun event with over 60 Key Stage 1 pupils and 20 Kingswood Secondary Academy students taking part.

Our students usually assist at events for older children, so it was great to see 5 and 6 year olds participating.  The youngsters took part in events, led by our Year 10 Leaders, to help improve agility, balance and coordination. Primary school staff were also there pitching in and lending a hand, which helped make the whole event have a really good community spirit.

After the event each of the pupils received certificates and each Primary School was provided with activity cards to practice some of the skills learnt on the day.

The schools that took part were:

Corby Primary Academy, Kingswood Primary Academy, St Brendan's Catholic Primary Academy, Hazel Leys Primary School and St Patrick's Catholic Primary Academy.  One pupil from Corby Primary Academy said 'it was wicked, especially the relay racing working as a team'.
