Young Enterprise Programme

On Sunday 25th January 2015, local teenagers from schools across the region took over Middleton Hall (the area in front of John Lewis), Milton Keynes to compete for custom and demonstrate their business skills in the 2015 Young Enterprise Trade Fair!  As part of the Young Enterprise programme, a group of our Year 12 students established a company and ran a stall at this event selling their products.

The group of 9 Year 12 students named their company ‘Splash’, which makes and sells a variety of toiletries including ‘Make your own bath bomb’ sets, ‘Make your own bath salts’ sets and bath time hampers.   The individuals in the group all have a specific role including: Human Resources, Marketing, Finance and Health and Safety.  The group's first venture was running a stall selling their products at our recent Christmas fair. This was a great success, proving very popular with our visitors.

On Sunday, business was a little slower than the group were hoping for, but there was a great deal of interest from the Milton Keynes shoppers and the other schools taking part in the event.  The group is now preparing for its next event!
