Geography Field Trip Year 12 & 13

There were fewer envious comments this year as we headed to wet North Wales rather than the slightly drier and warmer climate of Barcelona.

The destination was the Field Studies Council Centre at Betws-y-Coed and the purpose was to support students in various units of the AS and A2 course, in particular the Geographical Skills unit.

Here are a few of the students comments about the trip:

"Although the weather was awful I really enjoyed the field trip! It has given me a wider understanding of glaciation and the investigation we did has really helped me for the exam."

"The scenery is what made the trip memorable for me. I enjoyed the tasks that were set but overall it was an enjoyable field trip."

"The scenery was stunning even if it did rain sideways literally! The fieldwork was very useful because it taught us how to perform the various sampling methods.

"Great relationship building game of spoons for students and staff!"

Well done to all of our students who were a pleasure to spend time with and a credit to Kingswood.

We look forward to the next one!
